On the last day of 2019 , the portuguese channel Porto Canal noticed the revolutionary European project WiPTherm. In the video (in portuguese), André Pereira – one of the principal researchers – explains the project itself and how the research groups intend to develop Innovative Wireless Power Devices using micro-Thermoelectric Generators, capable of recharging via laser the energy storage components used in CubeSats (micro and nanosatellites).
This project brings together the following entities: University of Porto (Portugal), Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science (Portugal), CeNTI – Centre for Nanotechnology and Smart Materials (Portugal), University of Limoges (France) and University of Vigo (Spain).
