Biography

Raphael JAMIER was born in Périgueux, France, in 1981. He received the Ph.D. degree in 2007 from the University of Limoges, France. Since 2008, he has been an Associate professor at University of Limoges / XLIM research institute. His current research activities include mainly the design, fabrication and characterization of photonic crystal fibers for high-power generation in several spectral domains (in particular in the mid-infrared rare-earth emission wavelengths). He is also the Deputy Director of the Teaching Physics Department of the University of Limoges since 2012. Since April 2020, he is also the Deputy Director of the “Ceramics and ICT” Graduate School of Research (PIA3 project EUR-TACTIC). He has 41 articles as co-author/author in refereed journals, 72 papers in internationally recognized conferences with peer-review system and 2 patents (WO2016170287A1, WO2012146874A1).
