Researcher @ XLIM
Biography
Dr. J.L. Auguste received a PhD degree in Optical and High Frequency of Telecommunications from the University of Limoges (France) in 2001. During his thesis, the main areas of activity have been involved theory, design and experimental investigation on optical fibres and more particularly on a design and fabrication of high negative chromatic dispersion fibre. From 2003 to 2012 he takes in charge (Process Manager) the research and development around fabrication of optical fibres – guide structure (PCF) and multi-materials optical guides. From 2012 to 2018, he assumed a thematic research in the field of materials dedicated for optical applications. Since 2019, he manages the whole technological developments for optical fibre, from material up to optical fibres, including characterizations (optical and material).
He worked in strong collaboration with researchers of the Fibre Group and Glass Group (IRCER Institute) and is associated to ANR and other European and International Projects.
He has authored or co-authored 35 publications in international journals with referees and 55 papers in international conferences with referees including several invited papers and international seminars plus 8 patent applications.
