Biography
Dr. Carlos Ulloa Sande graduated as Aerospace Engineer and as Mechanical Engineer and he worked in different engineering and manufacturing companies for almost a decade. He presented his dissertation in 2014, on the topic of thermal modeling of micro-CHP systems and their application to different types of vehicles, at the University of Vigo. Nowadays, he is an Assistant Professor at the School of Aerospace Engineering of University of Vigo. He carried out teaching activities at the Defense University Center at the Spanish Naval Academy and at University of Vigo, in different courses such as Thermodynamics, Thermal Engineering, Heat Transfer, Propulsion Systems, Space Vehicles, in both aerospace engineering and mechanical engineer bachelor degrees, during the last decade. His research career focuses on the research field of energy systems and modeling and dynamic simulation of energy and propulsion systems. He conducted research in the field of renewable energy applied to aerospace vehicles and facilities, in collaboration with the Sustainable Energy and Thermal Transport Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Florida International University, where he accomplished different periods of Visiting Scholar internship. He is now developing research activities in satellites thermal control systems, participating as researcher in different projects.
